MAGAZINE

Project House

Customer: Publishing house
Description of problem, challenge, limitations, goal: The goal was to make an A4 magazine choosing between architecture and fashion. I had some difficulties in magazine page structure and image management.
Role: work performed independently covering the role of graphic design.
As first thing, we had to choose between architecture and fashion; I was always fascinated to the world of design, so I chose architecture. The teacher showed us important guidelines, which were major for realization of the project. Following this, I developed a rudder, where I put the names of the pages and then we were asked to choose the name; after several options, I opted for “Project House.” Afterwards, I made the various pages and features in InDesign and also entered some work done during ADV Briefing. I was able to overcome my problems during the lessons by paying attention to the teacher's advice and internal organization of the project. The end result was a 297x210 mm format magazine, printed with a milled paperback and with a thicker cover than the inside pages. The final project was positively received, especially with regard to the images included in the design, although there were some complications present about the layout.
