Why Not Jordan
Customer: Jordan Brand
Description of problem, challenge, limitations, goal:
The goal was to produce an A5-format catalog for the Why Not 04 and 05 shoe collection; some difficulties were encountered in the layout of the content, especially in terms of colors.
Role: work performed independently covering the role of graphic design.
I started from a moodboard to seek the right inspiration for the development of the work; later I created a rudder, in which I inserted the names of the various pages and then designed on InDesign. For the execution of the project, I overcame difficulties thanks to the teacher's advice, devoting myself to careful research of details and a more outlined structure.
Within the design, I included a range of light-dark colors to echo those of the shoes, so as to maintain a sense of consistency. I carefully analyzed the various fonts to be used, and the final choice fell on Arial, a simple font, but one that, when applied to the catalog, had a great effect. The end result was a 32-page catalog (not including the four covers) sized 210x148 mm and bound with milled brussure with covers of a heavier weight than the inside pages. Although there were some complications in the implementation of the project, the final outcome was mostly satisfactory.
